The EcoBoost DeLorean DMC-12

That's right! You are looking at a Ford 2.0L EcoBoost in a DeLorean. We are the first to do this and are proud to say that we are the DeLorean EcoBoost swap experts!

This is currently the only EcoBoost DeLorean in the world and will be unveiled at our April 23-25, 2022, Grand Opening and Open house.

These engines are found in many different cars and are widely available new or used!  This engine is tuned to around 250 hp and 300+ ft lbs. of torque stock and can be reliably tuned to 280 hp & 350ft lbs. on the stock turbo and fuel system.

We use fully programable standalone ECUs with the stock harness professionally modified by the ECU supplier.  This ECU will handle any power upgrades or changes you throw at this engine.  This well-known manufacturer is used all over the world in race cars and performance cars alike. 

The EcoBoost motor is mated to a Porsche G96 series 6-speed Transmission which is commonly found in early 2000's Porsche 911/996 cars, and are widely available. The shifter from these cars is also modified and bolted into the DeLorean frame.  This Shifter requires minor modification to the frame but does not prevent the owner from going back to stock in the future. 

The transmission adapter and clutch setup is professionally made and supplied by a very well known adapter company.  It utilizes an aftermarket starter and bolts right up to the EcoBoost.  This is the first set up of its kind!

Engine and Transmission mounts are 100% made in house by Jimmy, utilizing our DeLorean Frame Jig.  These mounts allow this Engine and Transmission combo to be bolted into a stock DeLorean frame without modification to the Frame or rear crossmember and utilize stock mount holes.

For the Do-It-Yourselfers, we will be offering kits to give you the major components to mount the drivetrain in the car. We will also offer individual components or completely convert your car for you in-house. 

Pricing will vary by customer due to level of buildup or parts requested.  After all, these are 40 year old vehicles and each one is special.
